Guwahati: After Dhemaji, the Assam government will be now holding the cabinet-meet in Bongaigaon headed by chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. In 2016, the then government headed by Sarbananda Sonowal had organized a cabinet meeting in Majuli. With the cabinet meet being held in Dhemaji for the first time under the leadership of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, the BJP-led state government will hold its next cabinet-meet in Bongaigaon, with preparations underway to welcome the state dignitaries and ministers.

Keeping its promise of continuing this trend of holding cabinet meet outside Guwahati, this time Bongaigaon town is gearing up for the cabinet meet.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will be officially opening the District Commissioner office, Eco Park Aquarium, and the newly constructed clock tower at Chilarai Flyover at Bongaigaon.

Former state minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury is currently looking into the preparations for the upcoming cabinet-meet.

As per roster, the CM had announced of conducting cabinet meetings outside Guwahati. After Bongaigaon, the next cabinet meet will be held in Haflong. The CM will be announcing various developmental projects during the cabinet meet.
