Digital Desk: Chief of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), Badruddin Ajmal, stated on Thursday that the party is an alternative to the Congress in Assam.

Speaking to journalists today, Ajmal discussed the opposition alliance group, stating that even though they are not a member of the INDIA bloc, the AIUDF will support it and will shortly send a formal letter to the bloc's leaders outlining their concerns.

He declared, "Even if the party does not belong to the grouping, AIUDF will support the opposition alliance. A formal note would be given to the Indian leaders for this."

In response to today's meeting of twelve opposition parties in Assam, Badruddin Ajmal declared that the duration of their alliance would be determined by the outcome of the meeting.

"Assam has only fourteen Lok Sabha seats. For each position, a panel of candidates has already been assembled by the Congress. The togetherness won't endure for these reasons," he declared.

The AIUDF chief declared, "AIUDF is the alternative of Congress for the people of Assam," portraying his party as a substitute for the Congress. How is Congress going to get to every char (an area of land encircled by a lake, stream, ocean, or sea)? During the past 75 years, what has been done to support minorities?"

He continued, "Detention camps were established in Assam during the Congress government. This is the location of the most prison camps ever established by the late Tarun Gogoi regime worldwide. Women from minority communities make up the majority of the detainees in those facilities."

Ajmal went on to criticise the Congress, claiming that it is because of them that members of minority communities in Assam are now receiving a terrible reputation and being called "Bangladeshis."

" It is because of Congress that people of the minority community in Assam carry a tag of 'Bangladeshi' on their heads. In this matter, Ajmal's stance is unmovable. My stance is clear - I never lie," said the AIUDF chief.

It should be noted that twelve opposition groups from Assam met for an important gathering at approximately three p.m. today, allegedly discussing the upcoming elections and the tactics to be employed.

The group belongs to the INDIA bloc, and the AIUDF was not invited to the meeting, which was held under the auspices of the United Opposition Forum.
