The ASDMA said that numerous rivers in numerous regions around the state are flowing beyond the danger level mark.

Digital Desk: The Assam Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) stated on Saturday that the present flood has had an impact on close to 38,000 people in 13 districts across the state.

According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the Lakhimpur district alone has seen 25,275 affected residents, with 3857 affected residents in Dibrugarh and 3631 affected residents in Biswanath district.

The ASDMA said that numerous rivers in numerous regions around the state are flowing beyond the danger level mark.

"The Brahmaputra river is running above the danger level threshold at Neamatighat in Jorhat district, Kopili at Kampur in Nagaon district, and Puthimari at the NH road crossing in Kamrup district. The water level of numerous rivers in the area is rising as a result of the region's nonstop rain," an official release said.

"146 villages under 23 revenue circles have been affected by the deluge in the districts of Lakhimpur, Biswanath, Udalguri, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Hojai, Nagaon, Sonitpur, Tinsukia, and Udalguri, while urban floods have been reported in Cachar, Kamrup (Metro), and Nalbari," it added.

According to ASDMA, flood waters have destroyed several schools, anganwadi centres, 8 roadways, 5 embankments that have been breached, and 8 other embankments during the last 24 hours.

In the flood-affected districts, 1409.65 hectares of cropland have been inundated.
