Digital Desk: Due to a last-minute
change in the exam site, many candidates were unable to participate in the
inaugural Common University Entrance Test, which started on Friday in 510
locations across India and abroad. The exam was given in the morning at a
number of centres in Delhi, and those who took it said the questions weren't
very difficult but that the paper was a bit long.
One of the many people who were unable
to take the exam was 18-year-old Anchal. She claimed to have taken her exam
earlier at a location in Dwarka, but when she showed up at the North Campus
location, she was turned away.
"I
received word that my centre had moved." I started to feel nervous and
unsure of what to do. "When we arrived at the North Campus after a
two-hour journey, we were notified that the window of time for entering the
exam centre had passed," she uttered.
Aanchal
said when asked if she had been informed of the centre shift beforehand.
"I checked my mail after realising that this is not my centre." I
would have checked it out sooner if I had known the centre would change. "
When
Ritika arrived at the Netaji Subhas University of Technology as stated on her
admit card, she encountered the same issue. She was informed that her new exam
location would now be the North Campus when she arrived.

the first day, appeared upbeat as she walked out of the testing centre.

calculation part, that took a while, "she remarked." With 14.9 lakh registrations,
the Universal University Entrance Test (CUET), the standard entry point for
undergraduate admissions in all central universities, has overtaken JEE-average
Main's nine lakh candidate registrations to become the second-largest entrance
exam in the country.
NEET-UG
is India's largest entrance test, with an average of 18 lakh registrations. The
examination is done in two stages. Phase 1 will happen in July, while Phase 2
will happen in August. Candidates who select Physics, Chemistry, or Biology
have been sent to Phase 2 of the CUET exam because NEET (UG)-2022 will be held
on July 17.
