Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu termed the civil servants as the pillar of the state who works as a bridge between the people and the government, as all programmes and policies were implemented through them.
“Civil servants are the permanent upholders of democracy as politicians come and go in every five years,” said CM Khandu to the 2020 batch of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) probationers during flagging-off their foundation training.
Speaking about the importance of training, the CM further asserted that officers without training is like a misguided missile.
CM Khandu appeals to the officers to wholeheartedly attend each course of the four-month-long foundation training.
“Don’t think it as a flagging-off ceremony; take it as a foundation laying ceremony of your career,” said CM Khandu.
Reportedly, for the time the APPSC probationers will undergo a course in IIM, Shillong then at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), followed by a training programme at Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management and lastly at the State Administrative Training Institute, Naharlagun.”
