Digital Desk: The absence of shooting in the Commonwealth Games in 2022 will significantly reduce India's medal total. With 66 medals, India placed third in the previous competition behind Australia and England (26 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze). 16 of those were won by shooters, including 7 gold medals. However, India made a great start to the Birmingham Games with weightlifters demonstrating their value.
