Tokyo: Japan’s A.L.I Technologies unveiled the world’s first hoverbike, the Xturismo Limited Edition, priced at a whopping Rs 5.1 crore. The company that worked on the prototype of the Xturismo Limited Edition since 2017 claimed it to be as the next generation of mobility, enabling free movement in 3D space.

The hoverbike has been created targeting the rich and the famous. The limited edition hoverbike is open for bookings ahead of the deliveries to commence in the first half of 2022.

A.L.T Techonologies, the startup that unveiled the bike, says that the it will not only be a new means of transportation, but also an icon on air mobility, as it promises to fly for 40 minutes at up to 100kmph. Powered by a conventional engine and four battery-powered motors, the XTursimo Limited Edition hoverbike consists of a motorcycle-like body on top of propellers and rests on landing skids when stationary.

The company currently plans to produce only 200 hoverbikes of the XTurismo Limited Edition. However, the catch here is that the XTurismo Limited Edition hoverbike will be restricted to the premises of the track or such sites and will be allowed to fly over the city roads.

The hoverbike has been also designed in a way that will help during rescue operations. The bike would be able to reach those areas where reaching or accessing the location is tough via land route.
