IndiGo officials denied allegations that the emergency landing was caused by an engine failure.

Digital Desk: On Wednesday, a Dehradun-bound Indigo flight carrying 108 passengers made an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport due to a technical issue.
According to police, the flight landed safely and no one was injured in the incident.

“IndiGo flight 6E 2134 from Delhi to Dehradun returned to its origin due to a technical issue. The pilot informed the ATC as per procedure and requested a priority landing,” the airline said in a statement.

It added, “The aircraft landed safely in Delhi and will be back in operation after necessary maintenance. We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers.”

IndiGo officials denied allegations that the emergency landing was caused by an engine failure.

"There was no fire or engine trouble that required the emergency landing.  It was due to a technical issue, they claimed.

According to them, the flight left at 2:36 p.m. rather than its intended departure time of 2:10 p.m. from Terminal 2 of the IGI airport.

The Dehradun-bound Indigo flight departed from the IGI airport with 108 passengers aboard, according to a senior Delhi Police official. According to him, a technical problem later forced the plane to make an emergency landing at the Delhi airport.
The police official reported that all passengers are safe.
