Digital Desk: For centuries, ghee has been celebrated in Ayurvedic texts and praised by modern medical experts for its incredible health benefits .Decent amount of antioxidants, vitamins, and healthy fats are found in this aromatic nutty-tasting clarified butter. Yet, just like any other good things, it needs to be used in a moderate amount in order to get the full benefits of it. Ghee is viewed as very essential in maintaining the body tissues as well as the energy of balancing the vata and pitta doshas in Ayurveda.

One highly recommended practice is drinking ghee with warm water on an empty stomach .This is one of the morning healthy habits that can condition the body to improve the metabolism, become more energetic, and also help the heart and the brain. To prepare, simply add 1 teaspoon of cow milk-based ghee to 200ml of warm water and drink it first thing in the morning.

Ghee is very simple to make at home. All that is required is simply to heat butter or cream above 100c, the water will evaporate and the milk solids may be filtered away leaving you with just ghee.

Benefits of Drinking Ghee with Warm Water:

  • · Natural Laxative: Ghee also has butyric acid which is a fatty acid that boosts absorption by the body and improves digestion. This will assist in controlling bowel movement and alleviating constipation.
