Digital Desk: In the Bishnupur region of Manipur, violence broke out on Thursday between the military forces and protesters from the Meitei community, injuring up to 17.
The incident led Imphal East and Imphal West officials to revoke previously announced curfew relaxations. As a preventative measure, the limits were put in place during the day.

The incident allegedly took place while the Meitei women were attempting to cross a district-fenced area. They were stopped by the Assam Rifles and the Rapid Action Force (RAF), which resulted in stone-throwing and fights between the community and armed forces.
A large police force had been deployed nearby to prevent any other violent occurrences.
Since the early hours of the morning, thousands of residents of the Bishnupur area have gathered on the streets to obstruct the movement of security personnel.
A planned mass burial for Kuki-Zomi victims of ethnic violence in Manipur was put on hold hours before clashes began when the state's High Court ruled on Thursday morning to keep things as they are at the proposed burial location in Churachandpur district.
