On Monday, the state governments of Meghalaya and Tamil Nadu signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Digital Desk: In a bid to improve healthcare in the state, the governments of Meghalaya and Tamil Nadu have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

Minister James Sangma from Meghalaya announced this significant development.

On Monday, the state governments of Meghalaya and Tamil Nadu signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

James Sangma, the health department's director, stated that the agreement was signed to "strengthen the ability of our medical staff and facilitate information sharing."

James Sangma, a minister for Meghalaya, praised the Tamil Nadu administration for its "proactive efforts" to enhance the state's healthcare system. 

Meghalaya minister James Sangma taking Twitter wrote, “This will immensely benefit our state as the excellence and proactive approaches demonstrated by Tamil Nadu in the health sector, under Health Minister Shri @Subramanian_ma, is commendable.” 

The Meghalaya minister added, “As we slowly build the health infrastructure of our state, we as a Government are committed towards providing access, quality and affordable healthcare for all.”
