According to the prime minister, the BJP members in the three northeastern states worked really hard and it paid off.

Digital Desk: In three north-eastern states, where the BJP will form the government following the recently won assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the oath ceremonies of chief ministers and other politicians.

On March 7, PM Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremonies of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) governments in Nagaland and Meghalaya. He will attend the Tripura ceremony the next day.

On March 2, the day the results of the three states' elections were announced, Prime Minister Modi stated the BJP's strong success in the assembly elections in three northeastern states demonstrated the people's strong faith in democracy and the democratic process.

In Tripura, the BJP easily won another term. With the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party as an ally, it will form the government in Nagaland. The National People's Party urged the BJP to prevent a hung house in Meghalaya.

The outcome of these elections "shows people's great faith in democracy and democratic institutions in the country," Prime Minister Modi said. The way the northeast poll results have been prominently displayed demonstrates that the area is not distant from Dilli or dil (heart), PM Modi stated.
