The Congress party suspended three MLAs after the West Bengal Police found a sizable sum of cash in their vehicles on Saturday. The police said the quantity of cash was between Rs. 48 and Rs. 50 lakh but did not give a precise figure.

A top police source claims that the state CID has taken over the investigation from the Howrah Rural Police.

The SUV transporting MLAs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachchap, and Naman Bixal Kongari was stopped on National Highway-16 near Ranihati in the vicinity of the Panchla police station.

The police stopped an SUV being driven by three MLAs, Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachchap, and Naman Bixal Kongari, on National Highway-16 close to Ranihati.

Ansari is an MLA for Jamtara, while Kongari is an MLA for Simdega, Kachchap is an MLA for Ranchi, and Ansari is an MLA for Khijri in Jamtara.

Irfan Ansari's brother, Imran, said that his brother was being duped and that the funds were meant to be spent on "items for tribals." These people had rushed to Kolkata's Bada Bazaar once again this year like they had done every year. He added that every year, his brother buys sarees from Bada Bazaar for native women.

This recovery takes place concurrently with the seizure of a substantial amount of money from assets linked to former TMC minister Partha Chatterjee, who is being investigated in connection with the school jobs scandal.

"They couldn't explain why they were carrying so much money about." We are not satisfied with their justification that they came here to purchase sarees to donate to tribal women. They are detained awaiting additional investigation. The police officer addressed the journalists.

The Prevention of Corruption Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which include relevant sections that address criminal conspiracy, have been used to file charges against the five people, including the MLAs.

The Congress claims that the BJP is aiming to topple the Jharkhand administration.

Avinash Pande, the leader of the Congress, alleged that during the past two years, there have been attempts to overthrow the government in Jharkhand and that MPs have occasionally been approached, intimidated, and blackmailed.

Rajesh Thakur, head of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), commented on the money confiscated from three Congress legislatures and said that the BJP was behind the plot.

"They have long attempted to topple non-BJP governments in non-BJP controlled states." How they overthrew the Maharsthara regime is also known to the public, "he added.
