Digital Desk: In the most recent episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav," which celebrates the 75th anniversary of India's Independence, is quickly becoming a mass movement. PM Modi announced an intriguing initiative called "Azadi Ki Railgadi Aur Railway Station" in this 91st episode of his radio speech. This week-long celebration began on July 18 and finished on July 23. Making people aware of Indian Railways' contribution to the liberation struggle was the goal.


1. The significance of 75 stations has been emphasized

The significance of 27 trains and 75 specified stops in the independence movement was emphasized throughout the event. To commemorate "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav," the country's 24 states' 75 train stations were decorated. Numerous events were held, including video films, light and sound performances, displays of patriotic songs, and Nukkad Natak in the native tongue.


2. A few well-known railroad stops

It is now formally called Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Junction Gomoh in the state of Jharkhand. According to PM Modi, it was from this station that Netaji Subhash was able to elude British authorities by boarding the Kalka Mail. In Uttar Pradesh, near Lucknow, the Kakori Railway Station is linked to valiant people like Ashfaq Ullah Khan and Ram Prasad Bismil. After the liberation of warrior Vanchinathan, Vanchi Maniyachchi Junction in the Thoothukudi District of Tamil Nadu bears his name.

4. The PM encourages school visits

In Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister advised the children and teachers to visit the surrounding historic train stations that fall under the category of "Azadi Ki Rail Gadi Aur Stations." He requested that the elementary school teachers bring the young students to these stations so they might learn about the patriotic events that have occurred.

5. Station photography exhibits

In the background of "Azadi Ki Rail Gadi," photo exhibits and selfie stations have been set up at each of these 75 railway stations. The relatives of the freedom fighters were asked to express their memories of the stations during the famous event's concluding ceremony.
