Digital Desk: A tragic boat accident unfolded during a storm at Alga in Nepur, near the Indo-Bangladesh border. resulting in the loss of life and the disappearance of two individuals. The body of one has been found. A rescue operation was started early this morning by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).

In the South Salmara Mankachar district, at Alga in Nepure, near the Sukhsar police station, a boat accident occurred yesterday at approximately 5 pm that claimed the life of one child and left two others missing.

An mechanized boat from Hatshingimari Kokradanga left for Alga Char in Nepur earlier on Sunday, carrying eighteen people. The disaster occurred, however, when the boat ran into an unexpected storm close to Alga in Nepur.

 Locals launched rescue operations immediately, which resulted in the recovery of 4-year-old Shamim Hussain, who unfortunately passed away due to the lack of medical facilities on the char.

The Hatshingimari SDRF launched rescue operations today in response to the unaccounted-for condition of Kovad Hussain (65 years old) and Ismail Hussain (8).

 Local authorities, comprising the Border Security Force (BSF) and Sukhsar police, have been dispatched to the location. Mankas' revenue circle officer should be here any moment. The post-mortem examination of the deceased youngster has been arranged by the Sukhsar police.
