Digital Desk: On 5th May, in a significant development, two members of ULFA (Independent) surrendered along the India–Myanmar border at Pangsau Pass in Arunachal Pradesh .


The surrendered ULFA’s have been identified as Ashok Sonowal (31), also known as Lekang Asom, a resident of Mahadevpur in Arunachal Pradesh, and Biplab Borgohain (31), also known as Nipen Asom, from Gohain Gaon in Dhemaji district, Assam.


According to sources, both cadres had recently left a main ULFA (I) camp located in Myanmar before surrendering to authorities.
