Digital Desk: Following the airline's decision to cancel flights for two days due to a severe financial crisis, the aviation regulator DGCA on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to Go First.
According to a statement from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the airline in difficulty has cancelled all of its scheduled flights for May 3 and 4 "without any prior notification."
"Go First has been called upon to show cause as to why appropriate action should not be initiated against the airline for the aforesaid violation," it stated. "Since Go First has failed to adhere to the approved schedule leading to passenger inconvenience, this is non-compliance with the condition for approval of the schedule.
The DGCA has requested that Go First respond to it within 24 hours.
The watchdog has also instructed the carrier to provide information on the measures done to lessen the inconvenience to the passengers who have reservations for flights on May 3 and 4.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has received an application for voluntary insolvency resolution procedures from Go First.
