Bakrid, often known as the "festival of Qurbani," is very important in Islam. One of the two major holidays observed by the Muslim community is this one.

Digital Desk: Eid al-Adha 2022: Maulana Khalid Rashid has issued a warning on animal sacrifices ahead of Bakrid 2022 (the festival of Qurbani or sacrifice), urging Muslims to only kill animals that are permitted by law. Additionally, he requested that people not post videos or pictures of sacrifices on social media.

Maulana Khalid Rashid's advice for those celebrating Eid al-Adha in 2022 (Bakrid):Only those animals should be sacrificed who are legally allowed.

 

·          Avoid making sacrifices in public areas, such as parks or streets.

·          Remind yourself to keep things clean.

·          Avoid taking pictures, recording movies, or posting them on social media.

·          Offer sacrifices in accordance with the law.

·          Avoid spilling leftovers or animal remains on the ground or in public areas.

·          It's unhealthy to drain animal remains or blood from sewage.

·          Attempt to bury the remains underground.

·         Distribute, and donate 1/3 portion among needy ones, poor people. 

Eid al-Adha 2022 this year will be celebrated on July 9 and 10.

The occasion is observed all around the world to remember and honour the Prophet Ibrahim for his readiness to offer his son Ismael as a sacrifice in deference to God.
