The team began construction on June 3 and completed the 75-kilometer section on June 7, setting a new record of 105 hours and 33 minutes.
Digital Desk: Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, said that India had joined the Guinness World Records for creating the longest continuous stretch of bituminous concrete road.
The National Highways Authority of India's (NHAI) consultants and concessionaire collaborated with Rajpath Infracon Pvt Ltd and Jagdish Kadam to create a 75-kilometer route of cement concrete in a single lane on National Highway 53.
As per reports, the 75 kilometers of major highways are believed to be comparable to 35 kilometers of concrete shoulder road.
The team began construction on the 75-kilometer road on June 3 at 7:27 a.m. and completed it on June 7 at 5 p.m., setting a new record of 105 hours and 33 minutes.
About 800 NHAI employees and 720 Rajpath Infracon employees, and independent consultants, were involved in this project.
