While Sindhu rallied from a game down to defeat Thailand's Phittayaporn Chaiwan 19-21, 21-9, 21-14, Prannoy annihilated World No. 4 Chou Tien Chen 21-15, 21-7 in 35 minutes.
The duo, who are leading India's charge in the World Tour Super 750 event, will face tough opponents in their respective last-8 encounters on Friday, with Prannoy set to face Indonesia's Jonatan Christie and Sindhu set to face her nemesis, Tai Tzu Ying.
On Wednesday, Sindhu defeated another Thai player, world number 10 Pornpawee Chochuwong, who started slowly against Chaiwan and used her deceptions well to catch Sindhu off guard.
However, Sindhu quickly adapted and took a more aggressive approach to ensure that her 21-year-old opponent, who held the world junior ranking of number one and was also a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the Uber Cup in Bangkok, did not cause an upset.
Sindhu, Prannoy, and Parupalli Kashyap are the only Indians remaining in the tournament's singles draw, with Kashyap set to face Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn later on Thursday.
