Digital Desk: Star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah left the stadium midway through the second session of day 2 at Sydney Cricket Ground. In his absence, pacer Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took over the responsibility of India's pace bowling. During Bumrah's absence, Virat Kohli led the team in the fifth and final Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Now Prasidh Krishna has provided an update regarding Bumrah's fitness in a press conference. He said that Bumrah had a back spasm and a medical team is monitoring his injury. He added that Bumrah had a scan and the medical team will update regarding his condition.

During the second day of the fifth test, Bumrah was seen leaving the ground holding his back. Later he was taken for a scan in a team car from the stadium. He came back and entered the dressing room.

This update has created major concern for the Indian camp as his participation in the second inning remained unsure. The leading wicket-taker has taken 31 wickets in the ongoing series.

In reply to India's 185/10 in the first inning, Australia could only score 181/10. It helped India to take a lead of 4 runs. India put 141/6 on the scoreboard with Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar at the crease on the second day of the match. Now, the Indian team is leading by
145 runs after the second-day stumps.

Rishabh Pant in the second innings played a fiery knock of 61 runs off 33 balls, which helped India score 141/6 in their second innings. With this innings, he also holds the record of the second-fastest fifty by an Indian in Tests.
