Digital desk: Rishabh Pant is cleared to compete in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). After 14 months of rehabilitation, Pant began training before the current IPL season and has been cleared to report to the Delhi Capitals camp. However, speed bowlers Mohammed Shami and Prasidh Krishna were confirmed by the BCCI in their release to be unable to play in the T20 competition this season.

Pant was totally sidelined from cricket action in December 2022 following a near-fatal vehicle accident. A few months back, the wicket-keeper batsman began playing cricket. He enrolled in Bengaluru's National Cricket Academy (NCA) and put forth a lot of effort to get fit so he could play in the IPL.

After undergoing an extensive 14-month rehab and recovery process, following a life-threatening road mishap on December 30th, 2022, near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Rishabh Pant has now been declared fit as a wicket-keeper batter for the upcoming TATA IPL 2024.
