Istanbul: A Turkish Muslim televangelist who appeared on TV and gave religious preachings with scantily-clad women accompanying him, has been sentenced to 1000 years in jail for various sex crimes, a local Turkish media reported.
The preacher identified as Adnan Oktar preached conservative views while he called the women accompanying him his “kittens” – many of whom appeared to have had plastic surgery and danced around him in the TV studio.

The preacher now 64 year old was arrested in June 2018 as part of a crackdown on his ‘cult group’ by the financial crimes unit of the Istanbul Police.
