TINSUKIA: A total of 26 new COVID-19 positive cases were recorded in Tinsukia on Sunday, out of which 25 are from a school named Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya situated in the Bordubi area of Tinsukia.
The new cases include 24 students and a watchman from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya School and one returnee from another state.

43 RT-PCR samples had been picked up from the school out which 25 people were found positive of COVID-19 virus.
Earlier, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya collected headlines when 34 students, one matron, and a cook tested positive for COVID on March 26.
Yesterday, Assam reported a total of 69 more cases of COVID-19 cases and 2 people passed away on the same day.
