The marking procedure in the hiring of teachers has been revised, declared Minister Pegu on Saturday...

Digital Desk: In a key announcement ahead of teacher recruitment, Assam's education minister, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, said on September 9 that the marking method for teacher recruitment will undergo modifications beginning this September.

The recruitment advertisement for basic and upper primary school teachers will be published this month, after a little delay owing to technical issues.

In the process of upper primary school recruiting, 10% of the marks will be obtained from the BA exam, 5% from the DL AT, 5% from higher secondary, and 80% from the TET test.

For the recruitment of elementary school teachers, 5% will be picked from the higher secondary examination, 5% from the DLAT, 80% from the TET, and 10% where a BA is required.

The marking procedure in the hiring of teachers has been revised, declared Minister Pegu on Saturday while visiting the educational programme of Middle Triwell Higher Secondary School in Gohpur.

"The decision of the Central Government on the old pension policy will be the final decision," Minister Pegu said in Gohpur on September 9.
