Digital Desk: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) announced on Friday that Bodo will be introduced as a medium of instruction for the HS Arts course from 2023–24.

While informing about the development on social media, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu stated that institutions interested in offering Bodo as a medium of instruction to students must inform AHSEC immediately.

According to the notification, AHSEC has decided to implement the Bodo medium of instruction alongside the existing medium of instruction in the Arts stream starting from the academic session 2023–24 in the institutions under AHSEC comprising the subjects History, Geography, Education, Logic and Philosophy, Economics, Political Science, Environmental Education, Mathematics, and Swadesh Adhyayan.

Moreover, all institutions have been asked to submit a list of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in the AHSEC office by June 5, 2023, especially mentioning the subject of each PG teacher.
