Digital Desk: The Nagaon police, acting to a tip-off discovered a rhino horn and detained three smugglers in connection with the case on Thursday.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Rupohihat residents Khaliluddin, Jakir Hussain, and Akbar Ali.
The three smugglers were all apprehended in Rupohihat's Ambagan area.

Two alleged poachers were detained in January of this year at Kaliabor in Assam's Nagaon district with a rhino horn.

According to a previous report, the Kaliabor police carried out an operation to apprehend the two suspects in the Hatigaon neighbourhood and found a rhino horn in their hands.

The arrested individuals were identified as Abdul Ali and Kusum Ali, both hailing from Misa near the Hatigaon tea estate.

It may be mentioned that it is not clear whether they have the rhino horn in their possession or not.
