Digital Desk: A young person drowned in the Sindura River in Kalain on Sunday. The victim has been identified as Sakib Akhtar Laskar, a resident of Madhurband in Silchar town in the Cachar district.
Reports stated that Sakib and his friends were swimming in the Sindura River when the incident occurred.
Sakib drowned after being entangled in the river's currents, according to eyewitness accounts.
Following a commotion caused by Sakib's pals, locals from the neighbourhood came there.
